Fun & Games
She left we the green crystal to drink from. She's a nice master, in that way. Gives me plenty of treats, although she doesn't bring me enough friends to play with. At least I get romping time, back and forth through the house, alone however.

Ah, Grasshopper...
Let me teach you about a balanced life. First off, plenty of sleep. Second, penty of catnip; thirdly, plenty of fiestiness. Everyone needs a little fiestiness--don't you think? That way, you can assert yourself with others--an important attribute if you don't want to get walked on by others. Now balance on that railing. Good!

Bath Time
Ah, it feels so good. I love to wash in the sunshine. Once she told me that she'd get a house and I could go outside. Now she's saying she's staying put. It's just not right, keeping me in all the time. I'm going on strike, right after my bath.

I Love My Toys
So many toys, she's so good to me. Some though, like the metal spinning thing, make no sense. And what? I'm supposed to carry a purse. Don't humans know there are many non-essentials in life. Just lazing around is enough.

Hey You!
Yeah, yeah, Coltin is leaving. I'm waving, a helpless romantic. If he wasn't so big now, I'd jump on him and lick his sweet face, but he grabs me and pulls out my fur. Sheez! But I'll miss him while he's gone. Gone to Monday--that's a long time. Okay, bye, bye. Love you, you little cheerio face.

Ah, Snoozing in the Afternoon
Ah, What a Life
I love it when she changes the sheets. First of all, I get to stretch out on the fluffy white surface and the sun was coming through the windows, and everything is divine. And then when she remakes the bed, wow, I get to hide under the sheet and chase her around as she pulls the corners on. Once I got her good, blood all over the place. And the sheets are white. But I'm not as frisky today, so I stretched out under the sheet and she just made the bed over me. I murmered a bit, but mostly it was just a barrel of monkeys.

On My Way Out of the Kitchen
What I want to do here is get the bird. Here birdy, birdy, birdy. Why is it so hard to get the bird. Glass ceilings, glass slippers, shattered glass. I stuck my paw in the glass that was half full of water. It was sitting on the counter and I was about to dump it onto the floor, when I heard her get out of bed. Her hearing is sensitive. She knows what I'm up to, but I'm faster. I'm gone in a flash.

Leaping
This is me leaping in the air. My master doesn't understand how much exercise I need and how limiting and 525 sq ft condo is to my health and vitality. She feeds me treats, but bought these greenies that where disgusting. I just refused. Sometimes I'll have a taste of her chicken. I like the houseplants and just the other day she gave me spinach--which wasn't too bad. When she gave me cat grass, I just made a miss of it so she took it away. So I knocked everything off the counter onto the floor. Power!

Hattie
Hattie the tuxedo cat, taking a snooze in a dish. I like to do this too, curl up in a small box, or inside the corner of the closet. It feels snuggly and being snuggly is a good thing. Lately, I've been snuggling with my mistress more than usual. She's been under the weather, her words, not mine. I'd say she's kinda blue and I can see why. Breakups are hard to do. That's why I'm not getting involved with Hattie. No way, she'd just break my heart.

Sid and Me
She's sick, so I'm doing a little healing work on her belly. She's not a bad human, but she's gone a little much. And if I had my druthers, she'd live in a house with a yard, bushes, birds, mice, etc. Apartment living is for the...oh, that's a cliche as old as the...never mind. Just get better, lamby.

Siddy Says, "You May...
I like looking out the window, but I hate these blinds. If I want to get my mistress going, I just pull on them. They make a clanking noise and they bend. It's fun. Today, I'm just sitting here. She's been gone a bit, and is always appologizine for leaving me behind. Sometimes I get out the door and run down the hall. It is my hall of walls, the blank woods, no birds, sterile in is vacancy. Huh, so much for condo living.

Torquoise, the new blue
This is what it's all about, lazing around on a satin throw, and this one is particularly nice to pedal--that's what my mistress calls it when I knead the blanket. I'm just happy, very happy. She watches TV, actually I'm looking at her right now and sometimes, if I give her enough of a sappy look, she'll reach up and massage my pays. Ahhhhh, a foot rub. I'll never turn that down.

My Highchair
I get up her each morning and when my mistress staggers out of the bedroom to put on coffee, I leap on the highchair. If I wake her early, say six, the pouncing on her toes doesn't always get her out of bed. Usually she kicks around her feet, which makes for a good game, and eventually wakes her enough that she heads for the kitchen. That's when I jump on the highchair and give her a couple of pokes in the back--which has her grumbling; I get my treats. She gives me a couple of different kinds, and if I'm savvy enough, I beg throughout the day and get several handfuls. She says it explains right on the package that they're not to replace catfood, but I'm bored with my cat food. She keeps buying the type for indoor cats--greens, ha!--I'd rather eat the houseplants.

Tuxedo cat relaxing
Penelope the cat, ah a new girl friend, Sid says. I have a chair I like to scratch too--even with a scratching box, I need to sharpen my claws. The box is just made of cardboard--really it's not very effective for what I need to do. I get the work done on the back of the whicker chairs. She can't stop me.
Tuxedo Cats in a Window at Animal Shelter
Sid would like to have new friends. If you know any Tuxedo Cats that would like to hang out with him, be sure to send an email. He's a social cat, and condo living has limited his access to other cat friends. He escapes and runs down the hall when friends visit; there is no place to go--like these kitties at the shelter--but he still has his friend, my grandbaby to play with. Liter mates.

Diesel the Tuxedo Cat Sees The Light!
Diesel is a beautiful tuxedo cat. I'd like to meet him. Us kitties want good friends. We're very social and playful, although I'm nearly two years old, which some folks think means I'm settling down. What does age have to do with playfulness? Everyone should keep getting younger, that's my advice.

I See Ye Dog
I saw a dog the other day and ran and hid under the bed. It's a common thing, fear of beasts. Even my master fears beasts. She dreams about them. They chase her. I dream about them. They chase me. It's the survival of the fittest. I'm indoors, there's no way a dog will get me. She, however, goes out there into the big old world of dog eat dog, and human, and cat.

Sink Dance
There's nothing like a sink full of water for a days fun and frolicking. Frequently I spill the water left in glasses on the kitchen counter. It's not about the glass being half-full or half-empty like most humans think--don't you get tired of that saying? I do. It's just about the water--pure generous water. It's great to splash it out of a glass, and even greater when I have a sink or tub of it to play in. I've overturned many a bowl of water and many a glass, specifically the rolly kind, great fun, you should try it. The best, however, is the sink that's been full of warm water and then emptied, ah--warm porcelain--what a blessing. Oh, then there is the toilet--you'd don't want me to go into that, do you?
Turn off the lights.
Quite frankly, it's the worst way to be awakened: a flash going off in front of your eyes. An explosion of light molecules, and there go eight of my nine lives sputtering before my eyes. Give me a break or I'll break her legs, even better. I come up behind her and dash my front feet on the back of her knee. She almost buckles and then I run off. Ha, that's for waking me with the camera flash.

Gull, beautiful gull
I'm a condo cat, rats. Oh, maybe I don't even know about rats, but I do know about gulls and crows. My human read that a cat falling from the second floor window is likely to break her leg, falling from a third or fourth floor is better--we turn in the air, spread our legs out--and those baggy flaps of skin turn into wings. We land on the ground uninjured.

Getting a Drink
Drink plenty of water. And keep it clean, that is, don't put yukky stuff in the streams, lakes, rivers, and oceans. Take your car to the car wash. It's loud, that spraying noise that hits the windows and the sides of the car. But the salmon will love you for it.
